 报告地点： At the Seminar Room (9421) 报告题目：Energy Loss and Modified Quark Distribution Function in Drell-Yan Process 报告人：Hong-Xi Xing (CCNU&LBNL) Abstract : Within the framework of the generalized factorization in perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (pQCD), we study the multiple parton scattering and induced parton energy loss in Drell-Yan process in hadron-nucleus collisions. The effect of parton energy loss can be expressed in terms of the modified beam quark distribution functions. Our results show that parton energy loss induced by multiple scattering will lead to a suppression of the Drell-Yan cross section ratio. By comparing with the Fermilab E866 experimental data, we find that in this kinematic range the suppression due to the parton energy loss effect is only considerable for large momentum fraction $x^{\prime}$ carried by the annihilated beam parton. For small and intermediate $x^{\prime}$, the suppression is dominantly due to the nuclear shadowing, therefore, the code EPS08 can fit the data quite well without isolating the energy loss effect.
