Speaker: Prof. Yu-Ming Wang (王玉明) from Nankai University

Title: Heavy quark physics: Theory perspectives

Abstract: I will review the theory status and recent progress in the precision calculations of heavy hadron decays, with an introduction to the fundamental questions in heavy quark physics and some general discussion on the experimental programs carried out in the flavor factories. Focusing on a personal selection of topics, this covers the determination of CKM matrix element |V_{ub}|, QCD aspects of electroweak penguin decays of B mesons, and the modern approaches to charmless hadronic B decays.
